This piece was designed to evoke the aesthetic of an ancient art manuscript using only abstract circular lines and waves. The off-balance composition and gritty textures were intentional choices to help achieve that historical feel. Circular motifs feature prominently throughout the Hamonshu, and this composition was created to pay tribute to that timeless shape.
